Four Arsenal Sarandi players were detained by police in Brazil during a brawl which occurred after Atlético Mineiro’s 5-2. Police officers restrained the Argentineans who confronted officials in the moments after the final whistle which saw them retaliate with punches and kicks. The Belo Horizonte police then moved in swiftly to detain players and members of the coaching staff, all of whom were not allowed to leave the stadium.

After Atletico Mineiro had crushed Argentine side Arsenal Sarandi 5-2 in the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday night, the Military Police of Minas Gerais entered the field of play to protect the officials. A large number of Arsenal Sarandi players were unhappy and decided to take on the riot police, first with some pushing and shoving, then a flying kick before a football was kicked at the law enforcers.

Arsenal’s 7-5 comeback win at Reading from 4-0 down wasn’t the only extraordinary occurrence at the Madejski Stadium, as both Olivier Giroud and Francis Coquelin gave away their shirts… before extra-time.

The French duo assumed the tie would be replayed at the Emirates Stadium but whereas this happens in the FA Cup, League Cup matches go into extra-time and, if necessary, on to penalties.

Luckily for the duo, Arsenal fans were understanding of their predicament and dutifully returned their jerseys to them ahead of the additional 30 minutes.

Arsenal has mounted an incredible comeback from 4-0 down to win 7-5 after extra time at Reading in an extraordinary League Cup fourth-round tie at the Madejski Stadium.

Theo Walcott was the hero, claiming a 95th-minute equaliser to force extra time and then slamming home in the last minute of the extra period to complete his hat-trick after 120 unforgettable minutes of football.

La partita più pazza del mondo: l’Arsenal rimonta 4 reti e vince 7-5. Recuperare quattro reti di svantaggio e andare a vincere 7-5. E’ una rimonta incredibile quella realizzata dall’Arsenal contro il Reading in una partita di Coppa di Lega inglese. Sotto 4-0, i “Gunners” di Arsene Wenger non si sono persi d’animo e sono riusciti a rimontare proprio allo scadere dei tempi regolamentari grazie anche a una doppietta di Walcott, per poi portarsi in vantaggio nei supplementari e chiudere con addirittura due gol di scarto, dopo una sequenza di 12 reti.
